About us and Our History
Welcome to Aberdeen Indoor Bowling Club, which was opened in October 1963 and is now one of the largest indoor bowling clubs in Europe. When the 12 rink private members club was opened in 1963 it consisted of an 8 rink stadium and by 1972 due to the length of the waiting list the stadium was extended with the addition of 4 rinks.
So how about just now?
Over the years the club has hosted many International events and its members have represented Scotland at all national levels. We currently have 1420 members of all ages bowling both competitively or for fun on one of the available 12 rinks. There are various sessions available, whether you are interested in participating in bowling league games, competitions or improving your game with a coaching session. Aberdeen Indoor Bowling Club hold numerous league and knockout competitions throughout the year.
So What Sort of Facilities are there at the club?
Aberdeen Indoor Bowling Club has great facilities and coaching to enable both disabled and blind bowlers to participate.
The club also has a well-stocked shop holding some of the top brands and the knowledge to advise on equipment regardless of your requirements. The Club also has an on-site restaurant, Free parking coffee shop and bar, providing full catering facilities within the club, members are welcome to bring guests to the club.
